Spring is in the Air

Spring is in the air and that means it’s time to shake off the Winter blues. There are so many fun and interesting things happening in the month of March, and the team at Rancho Sahuarita is ready to help make your Spring blossom!

Meet New People

While the holidays and winter are all about spending time with family and friends, Spring brings new opportunities for new friendships. Bingo Madness (Tuesday, March 10th & 24th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.) Women and Wine (Wednesday, March 11th from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. for residents 21 and older ) and the Coffee Social (Friday, March 13th from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m.) at Club Rancho Sahuarita are packed with fun and the perfect chance to meet some new friends and build community with your neighbors. These monthly events don’t require any registration, and residents can just show up and enjoy!

The Princess Tea Party (on Saturday, March 14th), Spring Break Kids Camp (Monday, March 16th – Thursday, March 19th) and I Can Cook for Kids class (Saturday, March 21st) give the kiddos a chance to also learn some new things and make new friends. These events have limited space and require registration. Visit ActiveNet to register and for more information.

Try Something New

Spring also brings change and the opportunity for fresh starts. It’s a great time to try a new fitness class or attend an event you’ve never gone to before.

Pilates, a class focused on building a strong core and improving lower back health, and PiYo, a class that will help you stretch to reach further, bend deeper and lift higher, are two great options for trying something new and will help brighten your overall mood.

Get Outdoors and Enjoy the Warmer Weather

The Live Music at the Lake Concert Series (Saturday, March 7th beginning at 5:00 p.m.) and Coffee and Canines (Friday, March 27th from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m.) are events that give families in Rancho Sahuarita a chance to get some fresh air and enjoy the outdoors and warmer temperatures together.

In addition, the Town of Sahuarita has some amazing outdoor events this month that you and your family won’t want to miss. The Sahuarita Creative Arts Festival, on Saturday, March 14th from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 15th from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., is a two-day celebration that adds vibrancy to Sahuarita by creating opportunities for people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds to celebrate the arts. This festival features up to 75 artists and exhibitors in all mediums, stage performances, food vendors and family arts activities. And don’t forget about Fiesta Sahuarita, on Saturday, March 28th from 12:00 – 6:00 p.m.! This annual favorite is known as one of the best small-town festivals in Southern Arizona, and offers food vendors, live music, inflatables, rides, arts and crafts for sale, informational booths, and other family activities. The event is free, however non -perishable food donations to benefit the Green Valley/Sahuarita Community Food Bank will be accepted and are greatly appreciated.
