Summer 2016 Kicks Off on Memorial Day Weekend in Rancho Sahuarita

The Splash Park at Club Rancho Sahuarita opened to residents for the summer this past weekend, and it was a huge success!

Highlights of the weekend included not only the Grand Opening of the Water Park Celebration – which is always a big hit – but lots of new events designed to help kick off the summer in an even bigger way. Saturday morning during the Grand Opening, residents were able to enjoy live music, entertainment (including a “Mad Science Rocket Launch” demonstration,) plus food trucks, pizza, and frozen treats on site. Arizona Oncology was also available to share tips about summer sun safety and provide sunscreen. Lawn activities Saturday also gave adults and older residents the opportunity to get active, and included corn hole, 3 on 3 Basketball games, and Adult Pick Up Football.

 

For residents who needed a break from the heat, various types of indoor entertainment and mini events were offered throughout the weekend, including a very special Story Time for Tots centered around honoring members of the Armed Forces. Later that night, a milkshake bar and indoor movie night wrapped up the day perfectly.

On Sunday, much of the same poolside entertainment was available again, including a DJ, Food Trucks, a water balloon fight and more. The night concluded with a special Sunday edition of the Movies Under the Stars series, on the Clubhouse Lawn.
