Summer Season in Rancho Sahuarita Comes to a Close

Labor Day signifies the end of the summer for many and the summer season in Rancho Sahuarita is no exception.  Rancho Sahuarita residents came out to celebrate with one last hurrah for summer at our Labor Day event on Saturday, September 2nd.  Residents relaxed poolside and enjoyed soothing rhythms of the Hawaiian Islands while hula dancers performed in beautiful traditional costumes. Some children were entertained making paper flower leis and hula skirts, while others chose to have a dance party with the DJ. Food vendors were on site serving up delicious raspados and tacos for everyone to enjoy.

The first Monday in September is the official day to celebrate Labor Day and many residents were off from work. While many of those residents took advantage of the last open weekend for the Splash Park, other residents took advantage of the long weekend by fishing in the Sahuarita Lake and grilling out with friends and family.

So even though we bid our fun filled summer days goodbye, we look forward with anticipation of cooler weather and all the fun activities that fall brings. Fall and winter are packed with lots of exciting events like the I Can Bake for Kids Class, Teen Halloween Dance Party, Sahuarita Spooktacular and the Winter Festival and Holiday Light Parade.
