‘Tis the Season for Tricks and Treats in Rancho Sahuarita

In addition to the changing weather and the arrival (finally!) of cooler temperatures, October brings plenty of opportunities for fun and adventure for families.

Events and other happenings over the next few months will help us to stay in the spirit of the season. In addition, the variety of outdoor fitness classes, that we can now take advantage of, help ensure that there is plenty to keep us happy, healthy, and engaged in our community.

October is one of the year’s busiest months of the year, both for residents of the community and the team at Club Rancho Sahuarita. The fall brings back events like Coffee Socials, Story Time for Tots and Bingo Madness (which have been on hiatus through the summer season), and welcomes in lots of new ones that come each year for the special season, (like Spooktacular, Dog Halloween Costume Contest and various holiday events).

Other special fall events will happen this month, like the Fall Health and Wellness Fun Day and Kids Fall Sports Camp. The Halloween Dance for Families of Children with Special Needs, which is made possible through an incredible partnership with the Green Valley Sahuarita Family Support Network, is sure to give families in attendance an experience to remember.

The Dog Halloween Costume Contest invites residents to dress their dogs up in their cutest costumes and join us at the Bark Park to compete for prizes, (large and small dogs will be judged in separate categories). Your furry friends will receive a special treat bag to take home with them, and then get to mix and mingle with other neighborhood pooches.

Then, on October 28th from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m., the event that many residents look forward to most returns. The Sahuarita Spooktacular is returning for another year, and will take place at the Sahuarita Town Center. Enjoy carnival games, a haunted house, and the very popular Trunk or Treat, with over 80 cars participating! Plus, this year you can have fun AND make a difference! Event participants are asked to bring canned food donations for the Sahuarita Food Bank to participate in the Trunk or Treat.

With all the events happening in October, the community is sure to kick fall off in Rancho Sahuarita in a big way!
