Special Needs Autism Awareness Day

The Sahuarita-Green Valley Family Support group is happy to invite our families of special needs/disabled community to the 7th Annual Autism Walk-Balloon release. Club Rancho Sahuarita and Common Ground will be distributing 1,000 children’s Easter baskets (17 years & under). Food Truck Grab & Go

Tuesday, April 6th | 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Stop by Club Rancho Sahuarita as they gather every first Tuesday of the month. Until further notice, this will be grab & go type of event. You’ll order on-site, then enjoy your meal in the comfort of your home or vehicle. Masks and social distancing are required.

Story Time for Tots

Join us every 2nd Thursday of the month for a live and virtual Story Time for Tots with a special guest reader. This month we are reading, “It’s Not Easy Being a Bunny!” The book reading will be followed by a craft. This event is ideal for children 3-6 years old. Space is limited, please visit ActiveNet to register your toddler. If you’re not able to join us in per-son, you are able to join virtually. Click on the link provided to unlock the many stories to be told. *Only one adult will be permitted; no other spectators or companions at this time please.

Drive-Thru Coffee Social

Friday, April 9th & 23rd | 8:00 – 9:30 a.m.
Get your day started with a piping hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate and a donut. You can drive by the entrance of Club Rancho Sahuarita and a friendly Events Team member will bring it right over and you won’t have to leave your vehicle. This event is free, and registration is not required (*while supplies last). Please wear a mask if you plan to walk to the event area. All appropriate safety measures while handling food and drinks will be practiced.

Outdoor Bingo

Saturday, April 10th | 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Try your luck with an afternoon of Bingo out on the Activities Lawn, by buying a card or multiple cards with a chance to win great prizes. Space is limited and registration is required, (this is a resident only event.) Purchase of Bingo cards will be in person the day of the event. Cash only is accepted. The event area opens at 12:45 p.m. and games promptly begin at 1:15 p.m. Please visit ActiveNet for more information. (*Must be 18 years or older.)

Curbside Crafts

Sunday, April 11th | 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Once a month take advantage of a DIY craft you can do at home. To wind down a busy weekend, take a drive by Club Rancho Sahuarita to pick up a complimentary craft. (*Limit one per child, open to residents only, while supplies last.) This month’s craft giveaway is a 3D Hip Hop Bunny Craft.

Trash-It! Event

Friday, April 16th – Thursday, April 22nd

To kick off Earth week, the parking lot at Club Rancho Sahuarita will be the host location of a 40 yard trash container. Here is your chance to get rid of some bulky and unwanted items that have seen better days. Please visit ActiveNet for a full list of acceptable and NON- acceptable items; we appreciate your help in only disposing of acceptable items into the container.
Drop Off Hours: Saturday – Sunday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and Weekdays: 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Please phone ahead if you’d like to drop items off earlier than the designated times.

Drive-In Movie Night

Saturday, April 17th | 7:00 – 10:00 p.m.

At the Dirt Lot (Corner of Rancho Sahuarita Blvd. & Camino Lago Azul)
Bring your blanket, chair and we’ll supply the popcorn for our drive-in movie event. To ensure your space, please register your vehicle on ActiveNet. This is a resident only event. Only one adult per household is required to register a vehicle (please do not register every member of your family.) Event space opens at 6:30 p.m. and the movie will begin promptly at sundown.

Seed Bomb Class

Monday, April 19th | 5:30 – 6:00 p.m.

Activities Lawn at Club Rancho Sahuarita
Make your garden flourish with beautiful wildflowers! Help us celebrate earth week by joining our team to create your very own seed bomb! A team member will take you through step-by-step on how to create your seed bomb. Supplies will be provided. This free event is offered to all ages and a resident only event. Toddler Techniques

Thursday, April 22nd | 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Join us every 4th Thursday for our Toddler Techniques program. This free event is offered for children 3-6 years old, and is held at Club Rancho Sahuarita. Toddler Techniques will offer many different fine motor and sensory activities to help your toddlers grow. Get ready for outdoor activities, games and arts & crafts. This month’s
activities include: Earth Day mess free painting, earth handwriting sheet, Earth Day recycling sensory bin and pollution sorting. Space is limited, please visit ActiveNet to register your toddler. Only one adult will be permitted; no other spectators or companions at this time please.

Curbside Plant Giveaway

Thursday, April 22nd | 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Happy National Earth Day! As our final day of Earth week commences, we’d like to honor National Earth Day with a complimentary ceramic pot, soil and seeds. The first 200 residents to drive-by Club Rancho Sahuarita will take one of these of beauties home. Although registration is not required, this is a resident only event and limited to one plant per  residence; while supplies last. “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” -Ghandi

Saguaro Club: Movies Under the Stars

Saturday, April 24th | 8:00 – 10:00 p.m.

Saguaro Club Members – join us at Club Rancho Sahuarita to enjoy a movie under the stars and complimentary popcorn. Masks are required to attend, along with practicing social distancing. Blueberry Pie Drive-Up Giveaway

In honor of National Blueberry Pie Day, we’re giving away mini blueberry pies to our amazing residents! Drive-up to Club Rancho Sahuarita for your free treat. Live or Virtual Paint Night

Painting events are all the rage, and we’re excited to be hosting another for our residents! Register and join artist Linda, in-person or virtually as she walks you through painting a wildflower garden on a wine bottle. This event is a fee-based, registration -required event, and is limited to residents only. With every registration, you will receive a paint kit which includes: paint brushes,
paint colors and an empty wine bottle. Upon registration via ActiveNet, please select the in-person or virtual option.

Art on the Rocks

Tuesday, April 20th | 6:00 p.m.

The possibilities are infinite in rock art. Let’s get creative and bring out that inner artist you may have discovered during this time at home. Let’s ROCK ON! This week’s rock art inspiration is Earth Day-inspired. (Click here for the Zoom link.) *Be sure to stay tuned for a hide-and-seek clue revealed at the end of the tutorial. The rock that was just decorated will be hidden in a specific neighborhood. If you’re the lucky one to find it, bring it by the Clubhouse pickup window and win a gift card. Line Dancing with Lynn – *Must register on ActiveNet

Fridays | 9:00 a.m.
In the Vistoso Dance Studio
Learn the art of line dancing from instructors with over 20 years of experience. This class combines the love of music with choreographed dance moves. The moves are done in a repeated sequence of steps by individuals in a group. This is a great low-impact exercise where you can make new friends while dancing to the latest country and western music. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move and shoes that let you slide/glide on the wood flooring. This class is great for residents 18 to 90 years of age!. Join us for this calorie burning workout! Get ready to be challenged and have fun in this class focused on High Intensity Interval Training, where participants will build up a sweat and get there bodies moving. All workout levels can join. (Please remember that residents must be 15 years of age or older to participate.)
