Cool Off This Summer in Your Backyard!

With the Arizona temperatures reaching triple digits, a refreshing dip in the pool or playing in a water feature can be a great way to spend those hot summer days. And we have you covered at Rancho Sahuarita. Residents and their guests have access to 3 different pools, a Splash Park and the Flamingo Splash Pad – all in your backyard!

Cool down your hot day, at the main pool at Club Rancho Sahuarita, and enjoy family fun at one of the largest private water parks in Southern Arizona. The young and the young at heart can enjoy the pool and Splash Park which features 3 water slides and the refreshing Big Bucket water play area. Ten-minute hourly swim breaks are held on the hour, by the lifeguards, so that residents may use the restroom, reapply sunscreen and rehydrate.  This helps to ensure that residents can stay hydrated and protected and aims to help to minimize pool closures.

The satellite pools located at Parque Del Presidio and Parque Del Rio offer another opportunity for recreational swimming for families to enjoy and escape the heat. The Flamingo Splash Pad at Parque Del Rio is also big hit with younger residents.

As a reminder, the following Swim Policy was put into effect June 14th, 2017 for all of the Rancho Sahuarita pools and water features. Babies and children who are not toilet trained are required to wear tight-fitting, waterproof pants. These waterproof nylon diaper covers should be worn over the required swim diapers.

In an effort to help prevent pool closures and heat exhaustion, use this checklist to make sure you and your family are pool ready:

Restroom break?

Swim diapers with waterproof pant?

Have plenty of sunscreen?

Healthy and over any illness?

Showered prior to entering water?

Have plenty of water?

Lastly, did you know that www.myranchosahuarita.com is updated with the current status of (open/closed) for each of the three pools? This information can be found at the bottom, right corner of the home page. In addition, if a closure occurs at the main pool, a Red flag is displayed next to the entrance of Club Rancho Sahuarita. Hours for each of the pools and water features can be found in the Community Amenities section of the webpage as well.

So, what are you waiting for? Grab the family and head to one of the Rancho Sahuarita community pools to cool off, relax and escape the summer heat.
