Fit, Family-Filled and Fun February

Learn all about the ways you can stay active, have fun and enjoy time with loved ones this month!

Rancho Sahuarita offers residents lots of fun classes, events and programs to enjoy with their families. Whether you are a weekend warrior and like to hit the gym, a retiree looking for a way to relax and make new friends, or you have kiddos looking for different things to do on the afternoons and weekends, you’ll likely find something to spruce up your schedule.

Fit

If you have made a New Year’s resolution to get more active, spend more time outside, lose weight, or try something new, Rancho Sahuarita’s Health and Wellness program is a great place to start. We’re officially a month into the new year, and even though time has passed, it’s never too late to recommit to self-improvement. We offer a ton of free activities, classes and events that residents can use to maximize their health, get into shape, stay active and have a good time in the process.

Plus, the gym at Club Rancho Sahuarita recently got an overhaul, with the addition of new gym equipment upgrades. Stop by and check it out if you haven’t already!

Family-Filled

February also brings around some of Rancho Sahuarita’s most classic, family-friendly events. From the Father Daughter Dance on Saturday, February 9th and Rodeo Round Up over Rodeo Weekend on Saturday, February 23rd, to a Special Edition Movie Night and an exciting new Cornhole Tournament, there are great ways to reconnect with family, friends and neighbors. Be sure to visit the Events page on myranchosahuarita.com to download the new Spring 2019 Village Talk, which will give you a look at all of the events happening this month and through the end of April.

Fun

The options don’t end with classes and events offered by the team at Rancho Sahuarita. There are also many additional programs offered by additional instructors, including Junior Tennis, Lego Club, Taekwon-Do and various dance classes. Many of these additional programs, like DancInc. or Sahuarita Dance are fee-based, and are available by contacting the individual instructor directly. Please visit myranchosahuarita.com for a full list of available classes and programs.

One of those classes, DancInc. Children’s Dance Classes, is taught by Krystyna Parafinczuk, who has been teaching young children and adults to dance for more than 30 years. She was the first dance teacher at Rancho Sahuarita, starting back in 2003, and has enjoyed watching the community embrace dancing for fun, learning, socialization, and promoting a healthier lifestyle. DancInc is currently enrolling boys and girls, ages 2 ½ and up for the following Saturday morning dance classes at Club Rancho Sahuarita, and options like Tap and Ballet Combo, Pre-ballet and Creative Movement and others offer lots of fun for little ones. Krystyna explained, “Children are learning more than just dance in class. They are learning to use their imaginations, how to tell stories and how to be creative.” (For more information and times, contact Krystyna Parafinczuk Director/Instructor at KPDancInc@gmail.com  or call (520) 743-1349.)
