Summer Wind Down in Rancho Sahuarita

Wind down the season with Rancho Sahuarita with any our end-of-summer events and classes, by taking in the outdoors or by doing your part to help make a difference in the lives of others!

EVENTS:

August event highlights include Canoe Days, Teen Lock In, and a special Concert Under the Stars. Plus, August sees the return of monthly events like Coffee Socials, Story Time for Tots and Bingo Madness from their summertime hiatus!

Teen Lock In

Friday, August 11th at 8:00 p.m. – Saturday, August 12th at 6:00 a.m.

Teens, come out for a night of fun that includes swimming, outdoor activities, dancing and a movie on the big screen! A snack station and drinks will be available the entire night. The event is open to ages 13 to 18 years of age. Space is limited. Cost is $17.00 per teen. Registration is necessary. We are also looking for volunteers to function as chaperones, if you are interested, please contact the Lifestyle Department at 520-207-7730.

Canoe Days – COMMUNITY EVENT

Saturday, August 12th and Sunday, August 13th | 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The Town of Sahuarita, Boy Scouts, and Rancho Sahuarita are proud to bring you Canoe Days 2017. This yearly ritual is a great way to try canoeing in a safe environment. No fee is required. Come and enjoy the lake right in your backyard.

Concert Under the Stars – COMMUNITY EVENT

Saturday, August 19th | 7:00 – 10:00 p.m.

Join us for a FREE concert under the night sky featuring the country band, “Blue Monsoon”. The evening will include an array of food trucks, and is great for the whole family! No fee or registration is required for this event.

Plus, be sure to take advantage of the Splash Park at the Clubhouse, which will be closing officially for the summer on Labor Day weekend.

GET OUTSIDE AND GET MOVING!

Get outside and enjoy the changing seasons on any of the community’s trails. Did you know that Rancho Sahuarita has over 17 miles of paved walking and biking trails? On any given day, you can see your fellow residents jogging, biking, or using the trails to get from point A to point B. Plus, there are lots of outdoor fitness classes that you can take advantage of, like Boot Camp, Water Aerobics, Triathlon Club and more.

GIVING BACK:

Help wind down the summer season also by giving back! Start going through your warm weather clothing that your children have outgrown or you don’t want anymore and prep it to donate to charity. There is no time better than the present to help someone out, and the change in season is a great time to make a change like this for the good of others.

Rancho Sahuarita partners with the Sahuarita Food Bank to host “Come 4th and Donate”, on the 4th day of each month. On that day monthly, the Rancho Sahuarita Clubhouse is a drive-up drop-off spot for food bank donations. The drop-off will be manned from 4:00 – 6:00 pm and donors can simply pull up to the front of the clubhouse and make their donations. *The greatest current needs are non-perishable foods that are protein-rich, (tuna, canned chicken, hearty soups, canned beans, and peanut butter) as well as cereals, pasta sauce and baby products like diapers and baby wipes.

So celebrate and reflect back on all the excitement that summer held, and join us in winding down the season this month with family, friends, and of course – lots of fun!
